As of Fall 2025, MC students self-reported that the following is what motivates them to participate in Metropolitan College:
- 23% MC is the only way to pay for tuition.
- 27% I want to avoid taking out loans
- 6% Already had some debt and didn’t want to add to it.
- 4% Financial resources I originally relied on are no longer available (i.e. scholarships, grants, family support, etc.)
- 19% I wanted to maximize all ways to financially support education and living expenses.
- 18% UPS benefits beyond tuition were important to me (i.e. pay, insurance, etc.)
4% A MC Career Pathway attracted me to the program.
As of Fall 2025, MC students self-reported that with Metropolitan College participating benefits, they would describe their financial circumstances as:
- 21% I do not have to worry about money
- 28% I have extra money after paying my bills

As of Spring 2025:
- 40% of UofL and 49% of JCTC MC students are eligible for federal aid (Pell, CAP, or SEOG).
