Funding to support the staffing and infrastructure of the program comes from the following sources:
- Metro Louisville: $975,000
- UofL: $240,250
- JCTC: $244,250
Funding to support tuition and other student benefits comes from the following sources:
- State: Program received direct funding for 50% of tuition through June 2010. As of July 1, 2010, a new section of KRS 141 provides UPS with a tax credit for 50% of tuition and fee payment
- UPS pays 50% of tuition and fee payment
- UPS pays 100% of academic completion bonuses
- UPS pays wages and benefits for student participants
