What is MC?
Metropolitan College (MC) is a unique partnership among UPS, the University of Louisville, Jefferson Community and Technical College, Louisville Metro Government, and the Commonwealth of Kentucky. For over 25 years, this program has offered more than just a tuition benefit— it’s a career accelerator.
Participants receive 100% paid undergraduate in-state tuition to UofL or JCTC, along with bonuses, fee payment support, wealth-building resources, and full employee benefits, including health insurance. Students may also combine MC benefits with other financial aid to further reduce costs and maximize value.
At the heart of MC is a “Career Ready Graduate” model, which integrates paid work experience for all MC students to develop essential skills for any career field they choose. Students work part-time at UPS, a global logistics leader, with starting pay at $21/hour. This hands-on experience builds marketable, transferable skills that apply across industries and prepares students for high-demand careers throughout Kentucky.
